KONSTANTINOU, you better get used to the idea that if there is a solution to the Cyprus problem, the Cypriot national team will have to include Turkish Cypriot players too. In fact, this may in theory happen even now, before a solution, should any TC player, good enough to qualify for the national team, wishes to do so.

To believe and profess the opposite, as you seem to, it makes you a traitor to your fellow Greek Cypriots, because you subscribe to the Turkish thesis about what Cyprus is, and how the problem should be solved. In case you are not aware of this, the Turkish thesis claims that in Cyprus there are two peoples living in it, the Greeks and the Turks, (there is no one Cypriot nation,) and therefore, since they are two separate peoples, they have the right to choose to live separately from each other, in two separate regions (partition,) since they are entitled to two separate self-determination rights (as two separate peoples.) The way you go about it, (you and the rest of ultra-nationalists among the GC society -most of which are uneducated and low IQ fellows,) you do nothing short from justifying the Turkish arguments and vindicating the Turkish thesis. Your ideas and attitudes are tantamount to treason towards your fellow Greek Cypriots, and the Greek Cypriot cause in Cyprus. You simply align yourselves with the Turkish ultra-nationalist theorisation of the problem. You simply adopt and use precisely the same type of arguments that the Turkish propaganda uses. In other words, you simply add ammunition to the Turkish propaganda war machine, to more easily fight the GC cause.

Of course, you may answer back to me and say that you do not recognise any Turkish Cypriot rights in Cyprus, that Cyprus is Greek and only Greek, and that the only people that should have rights and to exist in Cyprus, are the Greek Cypriots. Well, nice little story, however, you must know that you do not have even one chance in a billion to convince anyone outside Cyprus that such a little story should make the slightest sense to them.

You are a perfect example as to why education in Cyprus needs reformation. You are a very confused fellow, as confused as those imbecile kids that joined the calls of schizophrenic Grivas in establishing the Eoka B,’ before 1974, so that they overthrow the elected leadership of the GC society and unite Cyprus with Greece. The only “achievement” they made was to almost unite half of it with Turkey. As if the previous “achievement” was not enough, similar brains are now trying to conclude it, by helping the Turks to fully (and properly this time) unite half of Cyprus with Turkey.

we went to watch the friendly game last year. cetinkaya'v' luton town, in lefkosa. which the roc gov got stoppped. watching the players warm up we came to a conclusion that luton town would get slaughtered. not an educated guess as i am a qualified football coach.
i think it would be stupid not to use talented players just because they are turkish cypriot, and racist.
how can you call it the cypriot national team, when it doesn't represent the whole of cyprus?
football is a sport, it should not involve politics.

luton town looked like a beer bellied sunday legue team. shame on them! cetinkaya were all fit young men, not a beer bellie in sight. work it out for yourself, it wasn't rocket science.
when luton town left the pitch they didn't shake hands with the other players, which was pretty rude in my book. no manners. to be honest if they weren't such a load of w-----s they would have played on regardless to what fifa and the roc had to say.
maybe you need to come north and watch some decent football! or maybe the cyprus national team would be overtaken with turkish cypriot players! is that what is truthfully worrying you?

We apologise that this island belonged to the Greek world and was inhabited by Greeks for thousands of years. We'll try to hide it better next time.
