I just want to thank everyone in the south who voted for Plan. Obviously there wasn't enough of you, maybe something positive will come out of this. It can't have been easy to be for plan in the political climate that has existed, I hope we will one day find a way to increase support for compromise between the two communities.

Mehmet, after 30 years of continuous compromises from our side our leaders (Vasiliou - Cleredes) went even beyond what GC people can accept in an effort to come to an agreement with Denctash. There are really no further compromises the GC can make. Now that you finally got rid of Denctash (i hope), it is your turn to make some compromises to approach our side.

A federation (not a loose confederation) is something that would be fair for both communities.

We got rid of Denktash, and all "taksim-minded" politicians with the results of the referandum, but are you going to get rid of "enosis-minded" politicians like Papadopoulos as well?

I don't know why you believe that Papadopoulos is "enosis minded".

In any case GC are very clear with what they want. E.g. we realized that Cleredes was ready to sign the Annan plan, and we kicked him out before that. If we realize that Papadopoulos is not working for a true federation (and he wants enosis etc) then we will kick him out as well. We change leaders often here as you noticed, we do not follow anybody blindly.

Still, with the exception of a small group within DYSI party that were former EOKA-B members, nobody else is dreaming of enosis anymore. How did you get the impression that we want enosis now? We are more wealthy and better overall than Greece. Why would we want to be just another greek island? We are proud that we are Greeks, but we are even more proud that we are Cypriots!

Metacyp, please realise enosis is dead. Nobody wants it whether TC or GC!

What compromises?Don't forget it depends on Turkey also! She is a quarantor and she must sign it also! Talat or Denktas ... Noone can move freely when making an agreement ! So it depends on what compromises u want also goverment in Turkey and the negotator of tcs!

I don't forget. But I doubt Turkey will ever accept anything that will be fair for GC. This is why I said that Cypriots should be united. If we agree between us, then we can achieve something better than TC or GC can achieve alone.

OK,suppose we find a solution that is fair for not you but for "us" (Tc and Gc)! If its not satisfies Turkey,Greece or England? Have you ever think about it?

We are not that free ! They have dirty paws on us! This means Cypriots can not find and accept a solution which they make!Cos we are not alone here ! Some shadows are on us !Unfortunately these shodows are the ones who decides future.

Well, I didn't say to totally leave their interests out. I don't think we can throw the British out 100% right now. And I don't think we can have something that will not serve the interests of Turkey at all. But I am sure we can have something that will serve our interests first and then the interests of foreigners.
