Eurovision - Ellada 2006!

Postby Chrisswirl » Sun May 22, 2005 5:12 am

What a night, just had a big Eurovision party. I was so amazed to see 12 points coming from Türkiye to Ελλαδα (Greece) but so happy, thank you and well done voters of Türkiye! We should really end our problems as our countries (GR, TR, CY) are destined to live in peace.

Well done as well to Israel and Malta for fantastic entries. Cyprus didn't submit a good song, he's way too Sakis for my liking. Next year a TC / GC duet? Here's hoping.

A TC/GC would be freakin fantastic. I think people need to take this to the national committe that decides the entry. I mean its 12 pts autmatic frmo turkey and greece that way no? Let's no forget its Cyprus and not RoC or TRNC that the vote goes to.

Also, while Turkey gave us 12 pts I was disapointed that we didnt get anything to Turkey evcen though their song totally sucked (more Indian rather Turkish to me)

Am I missing something here?

Eurovision is as lame as it gets, always has been.

How come you people are all so caught up in it? Is life here in Cyprus really that dull? :D

What is the attraction (apart from the tottie)? Please enlighten me :?

i know in greece it become quite big when antique came in third back in 2001. from what my cousins were telling me though eurovision has always been big in cyprus (something about from kaith garbi performing). they were even telling me stuff about how the rules changed now (no more judges and the songs used to not be allowed to be played on the radio before the contest lol).

Two years ago Cyprus gave Turkey the 8 points and it was exactly as much as it was needed in order to win the competition. Turkey never gave us one single point.
