Favourite Greek songs...

Postby cannedmoose » Mon May 23, 2005 5:54 pm

As a relative newcomer to the Greek music scene I've been steadily building my collection over the past few years... So, to fish your minds I've got a quiz for you... top 5 favourite Greek songs... to kick off, here are mine (the one's that I know anyway). Since I don't understand the meaning of some of the lyrics in these songs, this is purely an aural appreciation :D

1. Genethlia - Notis Sfakianakis
2. Afta Pou Tha Leva se Sena - Michalis Hajiyannis
3. Ta Laladika - Dimitris Mitropanis & Pasxalis Terzis
4. Mana Mou Ellas - Giorgos Dalaras
5. S'agapo Giati Eisai Oraia

Any psychoanalysts out there might determine my character from these preferences

My favourite Remos song is Drapetsona... on the 'Phos' Olympic 2004 album... that's my driving music...

James, agree with you on Nafthalini, although not sure about the 80s-esque guitar solo in the second half... sounds a bit Hasselhoff to me...

Have to admit to not hearing the rest, I'll look them up...
