CYTA

Postby devil » Fri Jun 03, 2005 10:36 am

I went into a CYTAshop yesterday to enquire about ISDN phonesets.

Would you believe it, the guy behind the counter looked blank. He then started fumbling around a sheaf of papers and on the last page he found a single ISDN phone, really bottom of the range which he said was £60 (the same model is about £40 elsewhere), but they didn't have any in stock that I could look at.

How could CYTA be as little enterprising that they don't have a choice of hardware for a service they offer and push?

Anyone know, where I can buy ISDN phones, with a choice, pref. in LCA or, possibly, NCA at a reasonable price?

I am not suprised! I remember I had asked a question to Customer service at CYTA and I got two different answers from 2 different people So you are not alone to experience this cheap service!

Next time I think I will ask the same question to 4 different people there just to make sure that the answer is correct !

Cyta aren't exactly the most helpful bunch out there, are they? Took my mobile phone (Nokia 6230) to a Cyta shop as I can't send or recieve multimedia messages. Thats what the phone is there for, sending and recieving photographs, right? did they help me? they looked confused as anything and said that because its an English phone, it won't work.

What a load of bull

Before I posted the first post in this thread, I found two web sites which advertised ISDN phone sets, Macotel and Elvicom. They each had contact forms, but no e-mail address on their web sites.

I should not be surprised that neither company has responded to my enquiry. As I've said before on this forum, it is ridiculous that companies invite enquiries but do not respond to them in a timely manner, more usually not at all.

Companies should understand that they not only lose potential business by not using the Internet correctly, but they also risk being blacklisted by customers, so that they will losing the customer, as well, for ever.

Actually I sent an IT enquiry to a company that I bought my labtop . I sent the same enquiry to 3 different places in that company and I am still waiting for a response.

Normally when they dont know they dont reply this is the tactic they use. And even if they do reply they dont answer what they have been asked!
