He'll be lucky if he can find a bus...
Saw an interesting article in Cyprus Mail the other day talking about the 3-day Public Transport Workers' strike in Cyprus... nobody noticed... |

Yeah, but tough break: all the latin-american soaps are dubbed in greek.
As for the movies, I've very rarely come across people in movie theaters that talk loud enough to distract others who can't read the subtitles. Usually that's not a problem.
And, no, it's not likely that you'll find yourself lost in Cyprus. Unless you are somewhere in the Troodos mountains by yourself, or you cross the Green Line by accident. Then you're probably in deep shit ('deep shit' in this case meaning 'it's probably going to take you another couple of hours to get home'). |

| But this guy is Portuguese, no? Would he still face such BS if he were to cross the line by accident? I think they'd just verify his identity and nationality and let him go. |

True, if he's an EU national (other than a GC) they'd probably just check his papers, take him to the checkpoint and send him back over. Depends which area he ventured into. If he was in a highly sensitive area they'd obviously check that he wasn't a spy or anything. But generally the TC authorities have long realised it's not in their interests to cause problems for other nationals. |
