| If anyone knows of a site with pictures actually inside Varosha today, I'd be more interested. From what I've seen from the Deryneia observation point, it looks like a pretty eerie place now, a little like Chernobyl if anyone's seen the photosite dedicated to that. |

Taken back in 1982 apparently... wonder if that shack is still standing, I'd imagine it'd have warped too much to remain upright now.
Reminds me of old abandoned homesteads on the Canadian prairies that have been blasted by the winter cold and summer heat...
I just find the slogans against the destruction kind of ironic... |

Probably by taking pictures from just outside the fenced off area through a zoom lens. If you go into Varosha, you're risking being arrested or shot as it's deemed a military zone by the TC authorities and is heavily patrolled.
The ones that amaze me are the aerial shots, those must have been taken with the permission of the Turkish military... |
