So what you are saying is that the mayor owned the mosque? Sounds fishy to me. |
My thoughts exactly... |

| Do you have the deeds from the Land Registry? What planning restrictions are there? |
I have adequet documentation from the Land Registry but they arn't classed as deeds as the TC mayor (Muchtari) didn't have them anymore.
If you go to Kumyali you can see the pristine new mosque they have built.
In terms of planning restrictions you would need to check with the local authorities but to tell you the truth in this rural area of Cyprus, no one will batter an eye lid should they be outside of certain parameters.
Thanks, |

| Nick, surely without the title deeds, anyone purchasing this is leaving themselves wide open, even with other documentation. It's the cardinal rule in Cyprus property buying - if you don't have the title deeds, you don't buy. Therefore, as well-intentioned and legitimate as your ownership may be, and as lovely a property as this mosque would make, I think most people wouldn't touch it with a bargepole re. |

I assure you everything is legitimate and i have already had much interest. If you come down to Kphinou i will gladly explain the situation further for you.
If worse came to the worse and any prospective TC represensitive disputed any legality, the appropriate Turkish entity would be compensated by the state pre 1974 price, as indicated by the Annan plan in any political settlement.
Thanks, |

Hey that is fair enough but there is probably several thousand GC chocking on this response who have had their lands used in that exact way. |
