You were never appointed in the first place... nor would I wish to have that position... if anyone should have it, it should be a Cypriot. and if anyone is deserving of that role on here it would be either Alexandros Lordos, Erolz or MicAtCyp... all of whom have a proven track record of excellence on this forum... suffice it to say, it would certainly not be you.

As for my 'prioritising British interests'... unlike you I'm not a chauvinist nationalist. I've never really felt an attachment to my country as I've seen so many better places in the world. I am on this forum not to represent the UK, but to represent my own interests and passions regarding Cyprus. I have no agenda, unlike you who has patently demonstrated your inability to see beyond the small closet of nationalism in which you were brought up.

Anyway, I've truly had enough of your pointless digs, unless you're more constructive I don't see it as worth my time responding to you... goodbye 'Chief Negotiator'

I agree with...

> The right of return for all refugees, under the provisor that...
this includes Turkish Cypriots
all current residents are first found alternative accomodation elsewhere (it's not their fault that they're in those houses)

> Demilitirising Cyprus except for a smaller peacekeeping force

> The equal rights of all Cypriots in principle (with an exception described later)

I disagree with...

> Forcing Turkish Cypriot children to lean most of their lessons in Greek. I would make elementary Turkish compulsary for schools taught in Greek and elementary Greek compulsary for schools taught in Turkish with elementary English taught in both.

> Making children of one Cypriot parent go "back" to the land of the other parent (I'm asuming you also wouldn't allow GCs in who have an English parent, as otherwise that would be racist wouldn't it?)

> The lack of representation of the Turkish Cypriot community; if the leaders are to be decided by majority vote then they will no doubt be Greeks; there needs to be a high position in parliament awarded to the TC side and a percentage of seats reserved for GC / TC (between 20-30% for TC is acceptable).

Cannedmoose, having put forward a lucid proposal i see that you only highlight it's pitfalls rarther than it's merits. I also see you pride your self with you secondary research of book reading and primary research of talking to people on this site as well as marrying a GC in order to further your understanding of the cyprus problem.

However, you still seem to come accross as you a 'know it all objecitve viewpoint' but who does not want to get it involved.

As said before, i would advise taking your goodwill to other problems such as Northern Ireland, the falklands and the EU rebate.

Nickp you are well out of order, cannedmoose is one of the few unbiased contributors and I personally appreciate his input. We have tollerated your last few posts on the pretext that you were trying to get us annoyed so that you will get a clearer idea of our opinions. I put this down to your age and inexperience of the Cyprus issue but telling a valuable forum member to leave is out of line, please as you say compromise and stop asking him to leave.

Nick, it's so pitty that you've waisted your precious time with preparing this crap. It's really sad... And you want us to accept this plan? For what? For the sake of Greek Cypriot? We will never sacrifice our rights just to satisfy Greek demands...

VP, I think Nick's problem is that he makes proposals and can't understand why people would then proceed to pick holes in them, viewing them as a personal attack on him rather than simply pointing out the flaws in his plans.

As for me leaving on his account...
