I'm So Confused...

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Piratis » Sun May 30, 2004 9:32 pm

Did you forgot about the invasion? Do you forget that you live in a stolen land?

Like passport ! We are paying the bill to take it !This is this right's responsibility!

oh really??? Thats what they told you? Then go pay the bill and get a US passport or a German one. Why don't you do that?

You only know how to steal and take. Some of you unfortunately are society's parasites that only know how to live on the expense of others without producing anything and just causing problems.

No,i didn't !
This subject isn't related with these ! Some we can benefit and we have some responsibilities to RC and some we can't so we havent got any responsibilty!

Whats the relation between taking passport ,paying it and invasion, stolen lands ...???

What you mean? You mean after 20 July 1974 North Cyprus became a land of Turkey and RC is only a hellenic republic which its borders ends at Green Line? If so say it!

Thats what they told you? Then go pay the bill and get a US passport or a German one. Why don't you do that?

I can get because what you forget RC is not only your republic but also its MINE also !

...and i'm not stupid so i can think ! I don't need to be told !

Also you didn't replied this :

What responsibilities are you talking about that we benefit but don't pay anything?

If you are a citizen of the Republic of Cyprus, then you can have all your rights but you also have all the responsibilities and should obey all laws.

I do not benefit from public health system, I am rich and I pay for private doctors.
I do not benefit from the help that the state gives to the farmers or to the poor.
I do not benefit from 90% of the things I pay taxes for.

Can I say that I will stop paying that money because they give me no benefit?

Can I choose the laws I obey?

Can I go and steal property of somebody else? (I can, but then I should end up in jail with very limited rights)

If you do not fulfill your responsibilities and if you do not obey the laws then you should not expect to have all your rights. It is not a market that you go and say “I want this right”, here is 10 pounds for it!!

What you mean? You mean after 20 July 1974 North Cyprus became a land of Turkey and RC is only a hellenic republic which its borders ends at Green Line? If so say it!

The Republic of Cyprus is under occupation by a foreign country and with traitors* that cooperate with this foreign country to harm the interests of the republic and damage other Cypriots.

*This does not include all TC. Only those that benefit from the stolen properties and/or cooperate with the occupation force, helping it to continue its occupation of part of the Republic of Cyprus.

Go to the UN and declare that you are under occupation by Turkey and that you want all your rights and responsibilities from the Republic of Cyprus because you are citizens of the Republic of Cyprus and no other state. If you do that then yes, you deserve all the benefits and support even if the current situation does not allow you to fulfill all your responsibilities.

Otherwise, if you continue working against Republic of Cyprus trying to damage it and brake it apart, just admit it, and don't come here to tell me that you want your rights from the state that with so much passion you are trying to destroy.

Now i'm asking your question to you :
Did you forgot about the invasion?

We are not living in same conditions! We are under Turkey's control and you are under RC control !

But we are still citizen of RC !
On the other hand we are not living under RC control!

If you are an UK citizen but you live in Cyprus than think about ;
do not benefit from public health system, I am rich and I pay for private doctors.
I do not benefit from the help that the state gives to the farmers or to the poor.
I do not benefit from 90% of the things I pay taxes for.

Can I say that I will stop paying that money because they give me no benefit?

Can I choose the laws I obey?

these... I'm NOT under RC control now !

Well, you destroyed it enough by turning it to a Hellenic republic!
You forgot that RC is a bi-communal republic and it must apply the laws of it completly! You accepted many international agreements and laws that they need to be approved by president deputy who must be a TC!

You have to press your laws and all forums in Turkish also!
You have to write the Turkish names of streets etc. etc etc...

RC did these?

NO.
RC forgot its responsibilities to Turkish Cypriots.
RC forgot TC presence in its structure!

No problem. How about writing the names of streets etc in both languages in the whole Cyprus? Would you let the people that work for the Republic to come and do this in Kerinia or Famagusta?

RC forgot its responsibilities to Turkish Cypriots.

RC gives many of the rights to TC!
At the same time RC forgot the responsibilities of TC toward RC also. If it didn't forget they should arrest you and put you to jail. Or do you want RC to have "selective memory". To remember only what you want it to remember and forget everything else?

RC forgot TC presence in its structure!

We didn't forget anything. You are the ones who stole our land and left from RC!

You can't have both RC and TRNC. You are either a citizen of RC and you declare clearly that you are under occupation and you stop supporting the Turkish troops, or you are a traitor that cooperates with the enemy to destroy RC and therefore you are a criminal that deserves no rights.

Their names never changed Piratis! This situation is temporary as you know and we are under Turkey's control! We are not controlling ourself!

At the same time RC forgot the responsibilities of TC toward RC also. If it didn't forget they should arrest you and put you to jail

What i did? When i opened my eyes i was in occupied area! I grew up here and supposed here my country and didn't know that there is a south many years till i become a teen !

And other TC's ! Why they are guilty so they deserve to be put in jail?

I'm talking about RC's responsibilities to TCs and its structure. But you see some and can't see others!

TRNC is there only for Turkey and for Denktaş as you know.World is not accepting it.

While we are under occupation its not that easy to declare we are under occupation!I suppose you think here like south ! You suppose we are free to decide and do something!
Who will do it?

Even they are putting journalists to jail when they talk about occupation in their corners! Example: Şener Levent... Owner of Arfika Newspaper.

We are working for federal solution! RC won't stay like today! Trying to find a solution with federal base is not destroying anything! Bi-communal RC is collapsed !Its not working properly !

I don’t know you personally, I just answer to what you say.
A TC that thinks and acts according to the above quotes is just a victim like most other Cypriots are and obviously he/she is not guilty for anything. As I said already I am not referring to all Turkish Cypriots. Just the ones that support the occupation. I am even willing to forgive those that supported the invasion in 1974, but now do not support occupation anymore and they want a united independent Cyprus.

On the other hand there are two other categories of TC:

1)Those like Denctash that support TRNC and the occupation.

2)Those (like Talad?) that do not recognize RC and blackmail us that we either surrender because we are the weak side and accept Annan partition plan, or otherwise they will keep all the land that they stole from us forever. They do not seem very sincere that what they want is a united and independent Cyprus. They seem like they want to gain something unfairly big for themselves and limit our democratic and human rights.

Just a question: what would you do if you were free to do and say anything you wanted without any fear? (here you are anonymous, so I don't think what you say here can be controled in any way by Denctash or the army)

Yes, i want Turkey to decrease her soldiers to 650 ! As 1960 Agreements refers ...

Also i want from Turkey to stop controlling Northern Cyprus.

I think Turkey's mission ended !Her mission was supplying order in Cyprus and stopping terrorists.

Piratis keeps talking about the responsibilities of TCs against RC that needs to be fulfilled before TCs can enjoy their full rights in RC. Unfortunately things are not that simple. Let me explain why.

RC, as it stands today, is a Hellenic Republic. Many GCs consider the rights given to TCs in RC too much. I heard from many GCs how it is unfair that a mere 18% minority can get so many rights in RC. So, there's an acceptance problem in GC community about the status of RC. Most GCs find it hard to accept RC as it is supposed to be.

If you don't believe me, then explain why the laws passed are published only in Greek. Or explain why Sener Levent received a letter from the government (explaining why he couldn't be a candidate for Euro elections) in Greek and not in Turkish.

You ask TCs to acknowledge and fulfill their responsibilities against RC, but the main question is are GCs ready to see TCs in the Republic? The answer is not a clear yes and no.

Read this carefully. If TCs were made welcome in RC since 1963, we wouldn't have had Cyprus problem. The problem is after 1963, TCs were constantly excluded from RC. You might say TCs wanted to leave RC as well, and it might be true but we can't ignore the fact that TC exclusion either by themselves or by GCs was welcomed by the GC community as well. At least I didn't see any "democratic" GCs worrying about the exclusion of a large percentage of the people of Cyprus.

And calling TCs traitors since they worked against RC by not standing against the structure in the north is the biggest sign of your ignorance. In 1974, TCs had no choice but accept the realities. Many TCs moved from south to north, not because they wanted, but they needed to in order to survive.

Here's a little personal story. Many grandparents' village was under GC occupation and my gradfather was a prisoner between the first and second leg of the Turkish intervention even though he was old and he had no military connection. Of course these people were happy when the Turkish army arrived. Now these people are traitors because they wanted to live? Give me a break.

It's true that there are some TCs who suddently got rich by GC properties in 1974. Those are the people who don't want any type of solution. Yes they are thieves and traitors, I agree with that! But most TCs got GC property since they left their property in the south. And my generation had no choice anyway. How can we be traitors?

Traitors are those who don't want people to live together, who want the status quo to continue both in the north and the south, who want RC just for themselves, who want a seperate state and ignore GC rights on their lands and so on.

I know these won't change your mind because you know everything. According to you:
Piratis wrote:On the other hand there are two other categories of TC:

So either way, TCs are traitors. But one question is how can you expect Talat to recognize RC that has been Hellenic republic since 1963, and the people who control it had no intention of making it a truly bicommunal republic as it was supposed to be?

TCs gave up on taksim or seperate state, but you still did not give up on controlling the whole island and ignoring the minority. Cyprus problem is not simply an "invasion and occupation" problem. The reasons that brought "invasion" and the reasons that feeds the current structure in the north and keeps the two communities apart are important. We should talk about those instead of blaming the other side for everything.

Of course, Talat and TCs want a truly united Cyprus. That's what TCs voted 65% for. Our intentions are clear. We want a solution based on the Annan plan. So in that sense, why is it weird that Talat says he doesn't recognize RC?

Your intentions are not clear though. Some GCs want no solution, some don't want Annan type solution, some are scared, and so on. Besides why is OK for Papadopoulos to say that he's defending the Hellenic rights in Cyprus as the president of Republic of Cyprus? I guess you'll say it's OK because he's defending his people. Well, Talat is defending his people by saying "I don't recognize RC" as well.

Everybody is trying to optimize here and there's nothing else TCs can be after the referandum. We said a big fat YES for union and GCs rejected. What are we supposed to do? Beg for a solution? Or forget everything and go back to RC? We did our share, now GC community should tell us what they want.

So Metecyp, you want us to share with you the proportionately very small part of the country that is left for us (over 50% of natural resources are under occupation by the way), while at the same time illegally keeping just for yourselves one third of the country??

We do not want to keep RC as a Hellenic republic as you accuse us. And we want to share the whole Cyprus with all Cypriots! But asking from us to share what we are left with, when at the same time you (the 18%) keeps under control the 1/3rd of the country is something very greedy(to say the least) of you.

I do not accuse anybody for mistakes of the past. I thought I was clear about this. But you can't ask for your rights in RC and at the same time (I am not talking about the past) try to destroy and harm RC!!

You said "yes" to a plan made by your alies (US) that partitions the country and it does not unite it.

We got many UN resolutions (that are stronger than just a plan) that call for immediate withdrew of Turkish troops etc. Still we didn't just sit behind those resolutions saying that Turkey has to conform with them and we did everything we could. We continued trying for a compromise, because we are the side that truly wants a solution.

So don't tell me that by accepting the US plan is the end of what you can do. You can say that, but this will bring no peace. If you expect from us to surrender then you are wrong. If you truly want peace then you have to make some serious compromises like we did.
