Like so many others we have one of those soeasy payg sim cards for our CY visits. If I unlock an iPhone can I use this soeasy payg to get Internet over 3G in CY?
Pricey? Any other options? |
Cheaper buying a lap top bill
Just stop in your motor outside any block of flats and log on to anyone of the unsecured networks that pop up |
What little old me, pinch bandwith. I'll have you know I'm very honest, but .... |

yes i have pay as u go so easy also.. if you buy it from england you will only be able to use it with 02 you wont be able to use another sim card.. you have to buy it factory unlocked but england im told dont sell them factory unlocked even if you go to a apple store only with o2 connections and there is no unlock tool.. so if you plan to use it with so easy in cyprus on ur visits i would recomend finding somewhere to buy it factory unlocked but you will pay a lot more for a factory unlocked iphone much more then with a contract with 02...
i mean in cyprus its going to be about 800 to 900 euros i think in other eu countries you pay about the same maybe a hundred or so less but the dev team had so much problems hacking the 3g i doubt they will hack the new one either... 16 and 32GB.. personally im going for the 32GB |

WooooHooooo! Great!
I hope they let me have it for free if I sign a new contract.... |
I think they'll give you the current model on o2 here in GB for free with a contract, but suspect they'll want some cash premium for the new one. |
When the 3G first came out o2 allowed users of the 2G to upgrade for free providing they signed a new contract.
Just found out that they won't be doing that with the 3Gs though...
Apparently I'd have to pay off the remainder of my contract, plus sign a new one AND pay for the new handset.... |
Didn't you say you are now using a Nokia? |
Yeah but I'm still using the iPhone tariff...I'm quite happy with it. I get 1200 minutes free every month, 500 texts and unlimited data, all for £45 a month...can't go wrong imo... |

there is going to be a sony ericsson with a 12mp camera.. ive never had samsung though nokia iphone and sony ericsson
that samsung look spretty good but i dont trust that company.. the nokia n97 looks good with 32GB memory and space for another 16GB memory card and specs that just put the iphone to shame.. but with all the iphones flaws and apple basically telling you how to use your phone and crippling everything i still like it.. i can easily use the net and put great apps like skype and mirc.. though no front camera so u can only use the microfone with skype..
what i dont like is there is no bluetooth send/recieve files i cant put a simple theme on my iphone or change ringtones without paying and sms.. well i dont have to pay if its jailbroken which voids the worrenty so... if i find a better phone ill get it but the nokias out now are ugly though with amazing specs..:/ and sony ones i dont like look of either a non touch screen would be nice.. but im just gonna stick with the iphone 3gs when they bring it next week which i am so suprised because next week is when america will start to have it in stock since when does cyprus bring electronics same time as usa !?!?!? this is amazing espesially factory unlocked... 32GB :DDDD i am going straight to technica in strovolos on the day to buy one |

| yep its a nice little minni computer but apple seem to restrict you on what you can and cannot do instead of allowing any application which apple claim will cause them problems and pirated applications but it could be so much better it could easily be the best phone out there if they did not cripple the functions.. and the 2g users arent getting much of the upgrades as an insentive to upgrade to the latest iphone which i am going to do when they bring it to cyprus next week.. hopefully they will at least allow themes this time on the phone |
