Crocodiles in Kouris damn!!!

Postby Yiannis » Thu Jun 23, 2005 2:48 am

Apparently some crocodiles were let free into the damn by their owner who brought them to the island illegally. He wanted to keep them at his garden but after he realized that it was not possible to raise them he let them free into the damn. Officials said that it would be hard to locate them since Kouris damn is the biggest on the island. Officials also warns everyone that tries to go for fishing there to be carefull.

What an idiot!!!

In all seriousness, he's also a really nice bloke. I went to Australia zoo 4 years ago and he was doing his stuff with the crocs. Came round and talked to folks and signed autographs after. He's also done a great deal to improve the conservation and image of crocs... plus I have to admit to shedding a tear when watching the programme where his little dog died.
