Hi, could anyone tell me how strict the clubs are for under 18's? We are a family of 4 going to Protaras next week and my just -turned -16 year old daughter wants to see what a club is like in Ayia Napa (hopefully it will put her off!)..she refuses to go with me..her embarrassing mum but seems happy to go with her stepdad for a look! (step dad, maybe... but he still dances like a dad!) I dont expect me and the 12year old will get a look in...oh well..off to the karaokee bars for me!

she'll get in no problem! And I am sure that rather than putting her off it will start a few years of sleep less nights for you and your husband.
Have a lovely holiday! |

CY is exceptionally family/children friendly.
I have no experience of these raving clubs but many times when the children were much younger, in more traditional night-clubs, they would sleep in their prams or the staff would pull a couple of chairs together for them to sleep on whilst we were having a good time.
Oh just one more thing, if you visit the Occupied North, you may come across places called "cabarets" - er.... best avoided. |

I wouldn't call Ayia Napa 'family orientated'. Ok you can take kids or young teenagers to a bar like Bedrock in the evening - but as far as clubs go things can get a bit x-rated.
If your going to take your daughter to a club id recommend Castle Club. |

I guess it depends on how liberal the parents are.
Er ... Dr J, koubaro/koumerra, we'll be staying near Ayanaba this time around, can you give us the names of these "x-rated" clubs .... Er ... Just so as we avoid them. Thank you. |

I think you're asking for trouble to let your 16 year old daughter go to a nightclub with her step-dad!
Curiosity killed the cat .... |

| Go on YouTube, type in 'Ayia Napa' and make up your own mind. |
