Elvis was rock and roll, MJ was motown, pop, soul...
I've grown up listening to MJ and its amazing how many songs are brilliant and still sound fresh today. On the other hand, i'm not a fan of Elvis, i find him boring and only like Viva Las Vegas.
I went to the History concert at Wembley in 1997 and that was amazing as a show and performance.

Elvis...no contest. Although the greatest for me will always be Jim Morrisson.
I have not voted as I do not like/dislike either artist!
I do however like the Doors, my favourite tracks being the legendary 'LA Woman' and 'Touch Me'. What a great voice Jim Morrison had. (Did not care for the Stone movie much though!)

Yes, lets not forget that the other members of The Doors were very, very fine musicians in their own right.
My favs, well all of them really, but yes LA Woman, Touch Me ... Spanish Caravan, The End, Light my Fire and lets not forget, the unforgetable (!) Riders OTS.

That's what you call music....I don't think Elvis can be compared to The Doors....Definitely ahead of their time. MJ was good, but as for shear talent, The Doors win hands down!
All the songs mentioned above have withstood the test of time.
Now you've done it. I'm convinced you have bad taste in music, and your comment about The Doors is sacrilegious....
Our O, Beloved Sister in Arms in the National Struggle and who we all love madly, for a revolutionary thinker there's something decidedly dodgy and cheese smelling in this music. Must be some kind of dielectic riddle?
Let our late Jim be our enlightenment and guide on life's empty, destinationless caravan and allow Him to show us the Way to the Next Whisky Bottle.
