Two buses a day linking CY's three largest towns. Public transport is appalling in CY.
Post-settlement, Nicosia needs a tram system. Well it could do with one today. |

We had a train system that went from Famagusta to Morphou via Nicosia. I think it stopped running around 1955. |

There is a reasonably frequent, by Cyprus standards, bus service between Limassol and Nicosia, actually. |

No |
Then don't complain about the price about a business you know nothing about.
|
Do you?
Obviously more then you.

Boo hoo - get a second/winter job then. Do you know how long it takes to save for a 2 week holiday to Cyprus? 3 years! |
Then take a holiday to a cheaper destination which you can afford like I do and don't complain.
Is that the right attitude to have? If everyone did this Cyprus would suffer
That is our problem. Now you're worried about the wellbeing of Cypriots?

Obviously if they charged less, they wouldn't be in business at all. You don't own a bar, so you wouldn't know.
No I don't know BUT in UK and in my town in particular there are many restaurants and the one's who offer deals and/or buffetts for set price are always busy. Scaring the customer for overpriced basic meals is not the way to go....
The place you are talking about is not a holiday resort and works all year round with much more local population. I can have a full size kebab at my local kebab shop which deals with the locals all year round and the price is a fixed 4.00 euros.

Some people have no other choice than take a taxi! |
If they don't have another choice then they should have calculated taxi fares in their budget before they took the holiday just like their food and entertainment.
You must be a taxi driver!
Even worse, I am a musician.

That is so not true - even Rio Ferdinand hates being ripped off. It is not about being this class or that class it is about being overpriced for a simple and basic service. For christ sake, for a taxi from the airport to Coral Bay it costs 85 Euros!!!! Come on! |
If they can't afford a taxi from Coral Bay, then they should stay some where closer to the airport like Yeroskipou.
BTW, who the f**k is Rio Ferdinand? |
A taxi from Shropshire to Leeds (UK) costs £70. This is approx 150 miles. A taxi from aiport to Coral costs 85 Euros and is approx 30 miles....petrol in UK is more expensive....work that one out!
A taxi accross Moscow is 200 euros. You work that out! Why are you comparing?
Rio Ferdinand plays for Man United BTW |
Who gives a sh*t!
So far I have ran factories, restaurants and all sort of businesses around the world including setting up and managing duty free stores for Allders International. I have the best sales records they ever recorded. Instead of complaining I have learned to do my homework well before I start anything. If I go wrong (which I have many times and learned from it) then I blame myself and not others.[/quote]
kafenes, I can't do the quote thing in reply - too complicated now.
I think we have to agree to disagree on this one. You see things from inside Cyprus and I see things looking into Cyprus
You don't understand my points and I don't understand yours - fair comment I think.
By the way - I've seen you on YouTube |

OK then. Since you can't do the quote thing I'll let you off.
Where on U-Tube did you see me?
BTW you can also see me every Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday evenings at the Paphos Amathus piano bar. I might even buy you a drink......... if you cannot afford it. |

Oh Ok. Forgot about that one.
@Oracle, any car prior to 1982 is classed as a classic. Even the landrover below which used to belong to the chief of police in Paphos 1956.
