NICOSIA - Health officials today confirmed 10 new swine flu (H1N1) cases on the island.
Eight are Cypriots, and two are tourists visiting the free area of Famagusta.
Health Minister Christos Patsalides said there was no need for panic and called for caution.
“My message is that, despite the increasing number of flu cases and the increasing burden on the island’s Health Services, there is no need for unnecessary worry,” he added after today’s Cabinet meeting.
Those with flu symptoms should immediately visit a hospital or their private doctors because a prompt diagnosis as well as proper protection measures were the means to combat this flu virus, he also said. |

There are 58 CONFIRMED CASES, nowhere near 27 deaths either, people at most risk are those with underlying medical conditions which makes recovery more difficult.
I have not seen any recorded cases of anyone dying in Cyprus directly from swine flu. |

Unless someone is carrying out a cover up, there have been no deaths in Cyprus due to this.
How can there be swine flu in the north Halil, pigs are not allowed! |
