Hi duzzer

Really, I am only a dummy with Grump's arm up my back :-)

Seriously, it cannot be worth the agravation and effort to carry round tinned food and drink - both of which will be very heavy and may affect your luggage weight allowance - to save €4 or €5. You will have enough to carry anyway, if you have children with you.

So don't bother.

Lana PS But Grump has never been to a supermarket!

I'm all for getting it when we get there just need to convince me partner. I think it's a waste of weight allowance. Where sharing the Villa with her Mum and Dad and her Mum's taking all kinds of stuff ( Bacon Sausage Bread) and I think she feels obliged to do the same. Her Mum as even took eggs in the past which is just stupid( In her hand luggage not suitcase) Thanks for the sensible responses. Do you know the Nissi Golden Sands area? Opposite Adams Beach Hotel if so is there a Supermarket in walking distance?

I don't know the particular area but there are plenty of supermarkets around...

Don't bring bacon - the bacon is lovely here and doesn't fill the pan with that disgusterous white foam when you cook it... I can't tell you the price off hand but I bought two huge gammon steaks today for €2.21 each... Also the eggs are fine here and cheap I think - they come in boxes of seven which is a bit bizarre...
