Interesting.... I guess if I worked in say Germany and travelled to Cyprus more often than back to the UK thjen I'd be OK.

all my greek relatives have recieved noticed from their bank accounts in cyprus saying that under EU laws all income from cyprus has to be included in UK tax. so watch out

But it's only taxable in the UK if they are domiciled and they bring the money into the UK. If they are intending to return to Greece and are only in the UK 'temporarily', (which could be years and years and years) and don't bring the imcome into the UK they won't be taxed on it.
