Football, Basketball, F1 etc.

I agree that the standard of football has dropped, but this is the case throughout Sunday league football in England.

P.S. KLN were formed in 1953 and were the first established Cypriot team in England.

for about 10-12 years...every nearly every
Sunday of my life was spent at Market Road, New River, Willoughby Lane, Broomfield Park or even Battersea Park when playing Cosmos lol.

That lady selling food from her van at Market Road must have made about a 100 quid every sunday!!! lol

hahah...that was it..Marilyn. She made the best cheeseburgers!

Market road was the best place to hang out when you was a kid...the second football pitch had a little dipped gangway along side it...we thought we was playing Star Wars in the X Wing when we was running through it. (You had to have a kids imagination).

Some more memories of the good old days of the Greek league was seeing Serg from Salamina throw a brick at a ref and also one of the AEL players impaled on the spikes surrounding New River.

You have serious issues about what good old time memories are meant to be like.

this was KOPA's hay day!!!

you dont know how funny it used to sound seeing one of the club commitee members shout "SHOOT!! SHOOT RE GHAIROSPOUREH!!"

or call a member of the oposing side a "fucky bastah"...or the all time classic was the refs at New River wouldnt stop telling spectators "off the line, off the line please" (in an accent)
