Yes, a win by a massive 197 runs could only have been a freak weather incident.

Oh right...so now you are going to deny that you had drawn the first test due to severe rain interuption when Australia had the game in the bag?

You can thank the "GODS" for this fluke, because the series should have been 2-2!

Paphitis, your signature has proven to be extraordinarily portentous :- unknown, unexpected and inconceivable.

Perhaps the reason for the defeat of the 'Mighty Aussies' has something to do with the fact that there are now so many Muslims in England who are cricket fanatics, that they have (at this Holy time) called upon the powers of Allah to lend strength to the arms of those who are the servants of their beneficiaries.

An expression of gratitude perhaps, for the fact that they (the Muslims) are better treated than the indigenous population who are forced to support them.

OR, is it possible that it is politically expedient to allow the English some small cause for celebration in order to alleviate the suffering in their (now quite sad) lives ?.

Anything is possible Paphitis, chuck another shrimp on the barbie mate, the sportsmanship of your countrymen is a credit to all who have participated and it would not surprise me one little bit if they were 'Privy' to the outcome anyway.

We can all talk about ifs and buts. If Piertersen had been fully fit, we probably would have won by more. If Flintoff would have been fully fit, we may have won by more. If weather never interrupted play at Edgbaston, England may have won that Test too.

Australia had loads of time to bowl England out at Cardiff, and as your own captain said, you weren't good enough.

You can't be a sore loser and talk about the First Test out of 5 Tests. It was 1-1 and Australia had the perfect opportunity to retain the Ashes if they were good enough. Instead, they got battered.

End of story.

The Ashes are coming home.
