I say thank you as well, Yianni. Even though my English is still not perfect, I'm working on my Greek. :-) Turkish is next on the list....

Good Luck, It would be difficult for you. I think Greek and English have same root. But Turkish is realy different.

Nope, both different, both difficult... only advantage with Turkish is that it's written in a very similar alphabet so it's easier to read. Greek's ok once you've absorbed the alphabet.

Ops Forget that alphabet difference.
Arent grammer of Greek and english same?
They should be in same langauge family. :?

oh dear, greek writing is pure horror. I mean I know the alphabet (having learned Russian in school, which is a bit similar in writing) but I never know which I or S shall I use....

I haven't started with Turkish yet, but you are right with the letters. Apart from that it has a really weird gramma, putting tenses and persons always at the end of the main word....

If you know japan, or other Altaic langauge, you would learn Turkish more easily.

But At least there is 200-300 Million people who talk this langauge, with some difference.

yer french is like turkish, it has tenses and possesive verbs.

French and Turkish is actually very similar, during the 5 years I lived in French-speaking part of Switzerland I have found 200-300 words that are the same!!!
