The story about the girl just before nearly brought me to tears.
Of course its only one in a million but still..... It keeps hope alive that there might be a way to make things better. How is the saying: Hope dies last ? |

It was really sad I agree. I think Madonna's liberal sprinkling of swearwords in her between set speeches are a bit much for daytime tv, kids are watching this. Never been a big fan of hers anyway... |

on the aol page is a warning before the live stream that the broadcast might not be suitable for all ages. |

| U2 and REM were awesome, and I liked Snoop Doggy Dog (was surprised he got away with swearing at 6PM though!). The story about the girl in the 1980 who was at the event healthy and well really brought it all home in a way that most "charity videos" don't manage to. Anyone who says that Bob Geldoff is an idiot is ignoring the fact that he is making people listen and think, and that is the most important thing for raising awareness, which is something he has surely done. It's up to the "G8" now, but if they don't take action this time, the people will be less and less patient with their leaders; ignorance isn't an excuse for Mr Bush and his friends now. |
