Just started listening to the LIVE 8 concerts on line... taking all the politics aside, what a start, Paul McCartney and U2 going to enjoy today.
Politics aside meaning to send aid/funds for corrupt people to cream...? What is the best way to help? Leave them to it? Or keep sending it knowing that some will get through and if we do nothing then it will get worse.
Anyway... let the music play!! |

Combination of watching on BBC1 and watching on my laptop via wireless link... means I can flick between concerts... enjoying it so far... loved the set by Travis.
I may disagree with the notion that debt cancellation is some sort of panacea, but nonetheless I wish the organisers good luck in their aims. The day poverty in Africa will become a thing of the past is when they hold their leaders to account for the crimes they commit against them. The combined bank accounts of Africa's leaders equal the amount of debt that these countries owe... somethings deeply wrong with African governance and only the people, with our support, can change that. |

Annie Lennox was just awesome!!
Haven't they already agreed on the exemption of debts for the 20 poorest countries? I think I heard that few weeks ago... |
