So wait for the chorus of big deal, piss off back to the UK etc.
Staying in Tersefanou as I like to get away from tourist area.

Anyone know anything about this village.

Thanks BlueLagoon. Cyprus may well be a building site in places but you have some wonderful countryside inland.
Everytime we come we try to stay in a small village away from everything and as we are prepared to talk to people and even try in Greek at times as we find exceptional hospitality in these places.
Some tourists are dissapointed and expect a picturesque English village, but in my opinion the Cypriot villages have far more character even if they tend to use old cars and tractors as hedgerows and you get woken in the mornings by cockerals crowing and dogs barking. I suspect Tersfanou will be a little tidier and maybe quiter.
Have stayed in Nicosia on several occasions and it reminds a bit of Croyden except we would not get away with the way you park. Also had the best Kebab ever in a small kebab restaurant that was always crowded and had people waiting outside (It was winter)

I take great exception to having Nicosia likened to Croydon!!! Croydon is the biggest pile of crap south of the Thames, inhabited by benefit fraudsters.

Benefit fraudsters yes.

Not unlike the Turks crossing the border in Nicosia to get free hospital treatment on the Greek side?

I was talking more about appearances but your little poke CBB was to be expected as it seems to be the way on this board.
