Can somebody explain what the Inheritance Tax rules are in Cyprus and if they're any different to the UK?

You're kidding me! That's awesome... long may my parents live obviously, but it's good that the bleedin' taxman doesn't steal their money even when they're dead...

But the UK one will :( As you are the heir in an EU country, so the CY taxman will tell the GB one.

our beloved eu is making cyprus have an inheritance tax, they will enforce it soon .
personally i think an inheritance tax is illegal and violates human rights. why should i pay a tax lets say for inheriting a house in which i spent most of my life and i actually still live in it?someone should take this issue to the european court for human rights
