just wondering why there is a sudden increase in the amount of moderators. what can you people do??

It's so admin has some assistance in ensuring that areas of the forum don't wander off topic (I guess it's less of an issue in here given that it's general chat), that the level of personal abuse is kept to a minimum and to root out unwanted agitators. In other words, to ensure that the rules are adhered to. I've been given the Cyprus in the EU section, which also means I've got the dubious pleasure of trying to attract interest to it as well...

have fun moose. i ask my bapou and he does not know what moose is in greek. he says it was never really taught because they are pretty random animals.

is a moose different from an elk? which one of the 2 is "tarandos"?

Moose and Elk are different. Having seen both at very close quarters in Canadian national parks, Elk are more intimidating because they (at least the males) have very large and spikey antlers. Whereas moose have flatter antlers.

Thanks demetre, I'm not surprised moose isn't a big word in Greek... it's not like you'd call on the word much in Greece or Cyprus... :lol:

My English-German dictionary doesn't really distinguish between moose and elk. The are both translated with the same word. But its giving a third sample: moose = american elk

???
