Restaurants that are open in November in Paphos

Postby wulliemcmartin » Tue Nov 03, 2009 5:53 pm

Good Afternoon everyone.

I'm going back to paphos next week, staying in apartments near TOTK.

I was wondering what restaurants will be open at this time. I realise that's it's offseason, and a lot may be closed.

Any help?

Thanks!

You will be able to eat at plenty of places, don't worry! Ask Lana, she is the CF Paphos Tour Operator :)

Although a number of hotels are closing for the winter, nearly all of the restauarnts/tavernas are open until January.

Saturday, tried the Ocean Basket at the Avanti Holliday Village (such places I normally avoid) - came highly recommended and, yes, it was good. Bottle of Blanc de Blanc at €10 was good value, given the spiralling price of restaurant bottles of wine here.

Sunday, really excellent 'English Breakfast' at Hector's, in Coral Bay - amazing portions, excellent quality and smiling waitress - in spite of Haloween hangover - hers not mine.

Not the sort of places I normally go to, but an enjoyable change.

Thanks everyone for the advice.

Just wanted to make sure the better restaurants around were open. Not a big fan of seafood but i like my meats.

knowing that most places are open i may even head a bit further. When we got married in paphos last year i had a couple of really nice meals in Ficardos down by Amathus / Athena way.

Be nice to go back to there.

Thanks again, and can't wait till i'm relaxing in my favourite holiday spot!

Fish & Chip place in Coral Bay is Santa Marina; my favourite Indian restaurant is Papadoms, half way between Tomb of the Kings and Coral Bay, on the right. There is an excellent taverna near Peyia for meat lovers - sadly forgotten the name...

If you like meat, the Olive Tree at Polemi does the biggest pork chops I've ever seen :)
