Cyprus is not Greek.

Dear Yiannis,
Either you like it or not:
You have a Greek name!
Your mother language is Greek!
According to the constitution of 1960 (Cyprus became an independent country following that) you belong to the Greek national community of Cyprus!
Even the football team you say that you support APOEL means: Athlitikos Podosferikos Omilos ELLHNON Lefkosias (Athletic and Football Club of GREEKS in Nicosia)!
Remember that... |

That's not true really, it depends what you mean by "Cyprus is Greek", it doesn't necessarily mean that you believe in Enosis, maybe it means that you simply acknowledge the island's past is predominantly Greek. I also accept that if there were a unified Cyprus, maybe there would be some elements of Turkish Culture - and this would be a good thing, but the island's history is Greek. |

No problem my Hellenic brother, we must acknowledge, not give in to political correctness, that the History of Cyprus is Greek, for last 4000 years. |
