taxi costs

its even worse from paphos airport. last year two tourist after listening for a price for the taxi : 30CP, where hopelessly looking for "the" bus. after a while they realised that "bus" is an unknow word in cyprus, so they paid the price to go to paphos...thats calles respect for the tourist and giving quality product.
but talking in english and getting ripped... well it happens to athens, also, everytime. as soon as they listen to my cypriot accent, it doesnt matter how hard i try to hide it, then they automatically start charging extra for their "rich cypriot brothers" |

Hello the Cabbie,
When my wife and I arrived at Larnaca Airport it was around 2330, we went up to the cabbie office asked how much to Kapparis and was told £30cy I queried the cost as I was told what you said, by a local of the costs, before we arrived in Cyprus. There was around 10 or so cabbies there and they all agreed that was the price. However , the same happens here in the UK they all stick together therefore the punter is made out to be the liar.
