She means baseball, which has to be the dullest sport in the entire world... so bad they've removed it from the Olympics...

As for cricket, I'm not claiming that it's excitement a minute. As well as playing cricket for my school team, I really got into the game when I was at university. We used to go down to the cricket ground in the city, set out our lunch, books etc. and sit there watching the cricket while studying as well. Oh, and I forgot to mention the vast quantities of alcohol also involved in a day's cricket. Smile

Plus, I'm making the most of still being a student and still able to watch the test. This will probably be the last full ashes series I'll watch in my life, so allow me this indulgence. Razz

If you find cricket generally boring, I suggest you watch a match of 20/20 cricket, it will change your mind.

First blood drawn in the Ashes, Matthew Hayden's wicket taken by Matthew Hoggard for 12. Steve Harmison also just hit Ricky Ponting in the face with a delivery, forced the grill of his helmet back into his cheekbone.

(just realised that all that sounds a bit like the plot of a porn film if you don't know cricket...) Shocked

I know, I cynically voted for the Aussies, but it's going well for us this morning...

Still, another 4 days to go on this match and then another 4 (or is it 5?) after this...

England having a bad day. Only hit 4 of the 11 Aussies with the ball. Must try harder in 2nd innings!
