I absolutely disagree with you there Svetlana. Recognising the name so called 'trnc' would be the beginning of recognising the illegal state, which is what the partitionist TCs want. According to you, then we should also call Talat 'president' because that is the 'de facto' title given to him by many people. These are propaganda tricks the Turks have been using for many years not only in Cyprus but also elsewhere. The only title I recognise for the illegally occupied north of Cyprus right now is 'gay colony'. And let's not go into what I recognise there leader as. |

We've been bearing arms for decades! You come across awfully out of synch with Cyprus! Better stay far... far… away from here because it’s obviously not for you. |

de facto definition de facto (dē fak′tō, da-, də-)
existing or being such in actual fact though not by legal establishment, official recognition, etc. a de facto government
'De facto' by its very definition means it is not recognised but the reality is many people use the word to describe the Occupied areas, so I stand by what I said. I am not saying it should be used, merely that we all understand what is meant by the term |

Are you asking if Cyprus becomes a federation what will the North be called in the future? I doubt it would be called the TRNC under a Federation.
Also under a federation, what will the south be called? |
