Samsamsam. I suggested about you booking in somewhere in the North first because most of the hotels there will arrange to get you picked up from the airport free if you are staying with them (dunno about for only one night tho). And lots of Restaurants over there (like the one at Bellapais Abbey) will collect you from your hotel free if you book a table with them.

SAMSAMSAM,

technically Oracle is correct, but since no one actually does anything about it many people do fly to Ercan.

Just for your info, Ercan is an illegal port of entry as it is not agreed to the official government of Cyprus (RoC), but because Turkey is too strong militarily we cannot stop them.

At the same time, due to good will gestures on the part of the RoC they allow people this freedom, unlike the Turkish army on the other side.

So Flying into Ercan just goes to support the illegal regime, but you will have no problems.

As for your other travel arrangements, I cannot help, but i hope you enjoy Larnaca.

Good Luck

maybe if you decide to come to Cyprus again, you will chose to come to the legal side of the island.

That's what he wants to do! Fly into Ercan and come and have a bit of a holday in the South.

Not sure what you mean by

They don't stop people who flew into LCA going into the North.

Your post was a sensible one and summed up the reality of the situation.

Oracle's rantings and ravings are just making her look very foolish and uninformed to those who know better.

She asked me if I thought I was 'above the Cypriot law'.

It was the Cypriot Law Enforcement that I approached and asked all about it! Who better to ask?

I bet poor Samsamsam did not realise what problems his simple request for information would cause.

Yeah! I bet!

Oracle you have chosen a strange name for someone who knows so little. An Oracle is supposed to be all knowing. Maybe you should change it to 'Cleopatra'

The Queen of Denial.

tourists staying in the south can buy tours to the north of Cyprus quite openly and legally via their tour operators representatives so supposedly they are all breaking the law too by showing their passports to the 'illegal' policeman at the border etc etc etc??Perhaps they should all be arrested when they cross back-it would really encourage people to come to Cyprus, especially with the euro rate and high prices!!!

Gasbag ... why don't you fuck off back to the north. Oh I forgot. You are already there!

Stop pretending you are anything but a thieving carpetbagger intent on plying the stolen goods in the north.

I hope Sam sues you for suggesting he stays in the illegal north and uses the illegal airport despite the warnings.

Go to hell you windbag!

Very true - coaches full of tourists cross regularly from south to north. Perhaps Oracle should sue the ROC authorities

Sure sign she knows she lost the argument!

More wildly wrong assumptions. But I will let you know when I am next there. Probably some time during the next 3 weeks as I have a pal arriving on Wed and intend to take them over and show them the sights.
