Hello
I’ve been living in Cyprus for six months now, and would appreciate some advice regarding shopping, as follows.
Firstly, does anyone know of any price comparison sites which apply specifically to shops in Cyprus? For example, in the UK, there is Kelkoo amongst others, and I’d be interested to find out if there are any similar sites over here.
Secondly, can anyone recommend any shopping websites which, again, apply specifically to Cyprus? As (oddly enough) I’m paid in Cypriot pounds, I’m unable to use any of the websites I would normally use back home. I’d be interested in any recommendations relating to sites which sell books & CDs; I used to visit www.amazon.co.uk on a regular basis, and would be grateful for recommendations for similar sites over here.
Finally, would anyone in the Limassol or Paphos areas be able to recommend any good shops selling books or CDs.
Many thanks in anticipation of your help. |

No, I don't think such thing exist for Cyprus.

There are some shopping sites, but most of them are for computers and electronics.
For Books there are sites, but they mainly sell Greek books:
http://www.mathisis.com/
http://www.kyknos.com/
And some other shops:
http://www.cyprusculture.com/
http://www.netdrinks.com/
http://www.smartshopper.com.cy/
http://buy.com.cy/
http://www.underwear.com.cy/
http://www.tsaousis1million.com/
http://www.compuagora.com/
http://www.compusave.com.cy/
http://www.higrade.com.cy/
http://www.technosound.com.cy/
BUT with a credit or debit card (visa, mastercard etc) from any Cyprus (or any other) bank you can order your books from Amazon (i think they only ship books internationally), or any other site that ships to Cyprus. You only pay something extra for international shipping.
Good Bookstores are Kyriakou Bookstores, near Ayios Nikolaos round about and next to Chris Cash and carry. There are a lot of bookstores, but for English ones it would be better to order from UK or US.
There are a lot of shops that sell CDs also, like Musical paradise (http://www.musicalparadise.com/) on the same road of Chris Cash and carry also. |
