Saudi king warns of terrorist threat to Europe, US
The king of Saudi Arabia has warned that extremists could attack Europe and the U.S. if there is not a strong international response to terrorism after the Islamic State group seized a wide territory across Iraq and Syria.

"These terrorists do not know the name of humanity and you have witnessed them severing heads and giving them to children to walk with in the street," the king said, urging the ambassadors to relay his message directly to their heads of state.

The governor of Gaziantep province in south-east Turkey has announced that 19 foreign ISIL activists have been arrested there. From his statement, these would appear to be foreigners who were on their way to Syria to join ISIL. The governor has also denied allegations that there is an ISIL training camp in the province.

An interesting development, given that until now ISIL appears to have been able to act unhindered in Turkey. Uncle Sam must have put pressure on them.

It is absurd to think that ISIL's rise is as a result of America's actions in Iraq. Maybe only slightly since they removed Saddam from power and left a void to be filled and not helped by Maliki's sectarian administration. If Saddam was in power, they would be wiped the out with Mustard Gas. But to say they are responsible and that ISIL would not be born in the mayhem of Syria is crazy.

In fact, these organizations and Al Qaeda are now active in Africa with zero involvement from the US. In 2012, Australia revealed that its spy base in Kenya was overrun and that they deployed the SAS to hunt down the perpetrators because they stole ELINT equipment. They managed to ascertain that the equipment was to be sold to the Islamic Brotherhood in Egypt and as a result they were determined not to allow this to happen and I am happy to confirm that it didn't happen and that Australia managed to dispatch the perpetrators to heaven with 72 virgins.

Israel however has nothing to do with it. Hamas is affiliated to Shia Iran.

More signs that an alliance with Iran is being forged.

Iran's Supreme Leader has approved co-operation with the US as part of the fight against Islamic State in northern Iraq, sources have told BBC Persian.

Ayatollah Khamenei has authorised his top commander to co-ordinate military operations with the US, Iraqi and Kurdish forces, sources in Tehran say.

I was the first to mention this way before any media reports surfaced.

I have information from sources to suggest that the RAAF actually landed at an Iranian Air Force base to take delivery of a massive consignment of Russian Arms to deliver to the Kurdish Peshmerga. This would have to be the first time any Western Military Aircraft have landed in Iran since the time of the Shah.

I think a sweetheart deal has been made and soon the embargoes will be lifted.

A group of British Islamists affiliated with Islamic State (IS) in Syria has grown so disillusioned with fighting that they are seeking ways to return home without being subjected to stiff jail sentences when they return, it has been reported.

A British jihadist claiming to represent 30 fellow nationals said they were increasingly frustrated at fighting against other rebel groups, having originally arrived in Syria to fight the regime of Bashar al-Assad instead.

He told researchers that they are willing to give up their arms and restart their lives in the UK but feared long prison sentences, The Times reported.

"We came to fight the regime and instead we are involved in gang warfare. It's not what we came for but if we go back [to Britain] we will go to jail," the man told researchers from the International Centre for Study of Radicalisation and Political Violence (ICSR) at King's College London, via social media.

"Right now we are being forced to fight — what option do we have?"

The militant said the 30 were willing to undergo deradicalisation programmes and submit to surveillance if they were allowed back.

News of the disillusionment was confirmed by an anonymous Isis spokesperson, who told IBTimes UK that "not all, but some" of the British fighters want to return home.
