Jacky, my advise would be to ignore DigenisA here and carefully read what hincyprus wrote. I believe he is completely right and very much to the point.
The skills/experience you mention (i.e. travel/tourism/hotel) fit very well in Cyprus business "landscape", so to say. What I can tell you from my previous experience is that languages are the key in tourism. I speak german and english and a bit of greek but would for example have desperately needed french as the company I was working for in Cyprus had acquired a big new french customer....
Taking an optimistic look into the future I would guess that knowledge of both greek and turkish should be very useful.

thanks for you input i think ive confussed everyone about the IT thing all that the course im doing is a basic brush up on pc skills because we only use the one system where i work. and yes i have got a load of accredited hoterier credentials and licensees and i also trying to brush up on my greek as its been along time since i used it on a day to day basis
the property thing was just a thought as another string in my bow you could say and because its going to be about 3 years before i can move it would give me something to do cos i love learning new things
by the way im not a oldie im 29 again and again...............ha ha

thanks for that cos i didnt really take that much notice of what he said because ive been offered jobs when i been out there and to be honest im not looking for anything "high powered"the whole point is to come out is to kick back and relax and take it easy after working 70 and more hours every week for the last god knows how many years
