Do banks give loans for flat to foreigners in Cyprus?

Postby Tatiana » Mon Jan 13, 2003 11:30 pm

I wonder if a foreigner with work permit in Cyprus (local company) can obtain a loan from any bank for purchase of an apartment / car.
Does anybody know??

By the way, what are approximate prices for a standard two bedroom apartment in Limassol, preferably a new apartment ?

I doubt you can get such a big loan, except if the car is a cheap used one ... maybe you can get 1-2 thousands or so if you have a good job, but i am not sure.

a new 2 bedroom apt. would be at least 20 thousand pounds depending on the area. An average price would be closer to 35 thousands.

Hey there,
While I was visiting Cyprus, I came across a useful newspaper that gives a good insight into cost of purchasing everything from cars to apartments.
Also any job opportunities. You might want to try getting a hold of one-it was called Hrises Efkeries. It also has lots of advertising for loans etc.Good Luck
