How easily you talk of 'us' when in fact you mean you. Of the others that have expressed a view they seem to understand the intent of the use of these symbols. What symbol should he use to include TC if not the TRNC flag? Do you wish to alienate everyone? Is that your desire?

Who are the "others"? Michalis?

When I talk of "us" I mean the great majority of GCs that I represent. I guess you are smart enough and you have realized already that the views of Michalis and the like are not representative of Greek Cypriots.

The only thing that the flag of "TRNC" represents is the illegal occupation of part of our country, and nothing more.

If you want prepare a "Turkish Cypriot community of Republic of Cyprus" flag, and then Turker can use that one.

the moderators should remove that flag from Turkers avatar!
Turkish Cypriots see the so many "yes" Greek Cypriot supporters in here and they think that we are all like that? This is the only forum with so many of them. Go to a greek language forum and you will see that most people are "no" supporters. Because most people in a single forum support something this doesn't show that most people in the whole country support it too. In this case is exactly the opposite.

Mike is insinuating that the "yes" members have highjacked this forum and send wrong signals the TC's. As if the TC's do not have a clue as to the wishes of the GC's. It is a typical attitude of arrogant approach which is the trade mark of our President.

Ok Piratis, I agree; I'll change my avartar to a more legal one, but you'll delete that partitionist flags from this web site, ok?

Actually I couldn't find a better representation of TCs other than a TRNC flag. Anyway, I'll replace both RoC and TRNC flags with that of United Cyprus Republic, this would be better I think.

But I'd like to state that you are too nationalist to feel the reality of peace and basic humanity love. As a citizen of Turkey, I put a RoC flag ,which my government doesn't recognize, in my avartar. This was a peaceful movement I thought. But you surprised me. Yet, I'll do what I stated above. No need to worry.

I'm not too nationalist a person, I only recognize one human nation which is really natural unlike the others!

Turker, we really don't care much if Turkey recognizes the Republic of Cyprus or not.
It is your country, recognize whatever you want. What we care is your actions in our country, and your action at the moment is your illegal occupation, which is not a very loving action, right?

You are wrong that I am nationalist. Is it nationalism to want your country to be united and not partitioned?

No, of course not. But when I mentioned about nationalism, I meant your reaction to the avartar, the creator of which (me) is not partionist but a person supporting even unification of Turkey & Greece. I wrote, it didn't mean partition but peace between communities, which I thought, proper to be represented by their flags. That was all.

No Taksim, nothing partitionist but supporting reunification...

Your reaction was too surprising for me. I don't want Cyprus to be divided as you and most of the Cypriots don't want.

I hope you understood me. Yet I'll change my avartar.

Turkers journey in this forum is that of a noble person, and I totally disagree that the moderators should take any action and remove his flag/s.Turker clearly stated many times his love for Greek Turkey GCs and TCs and his wish that we form a united people. There are many people in Greece that beleive they have more things in common with the Turks than with the "cold" Europeans.
Anyway the inclussion of the flag of the occupied areas was a mistake from Turker. However not an intentional mistake. Other than pointing him that it was a mistake nobody has the right to do anything -not even the moderators- because that would be fascism. Its upto Turker to change it or not.

My personal advice (its only an advice and nothing else) to Turker if he wants to use a flag for the Cypriot people he can use the flag the member "PEACE" is using.

You are correct Mike that this forum is not really representative of the majority of the GCs.

Turker I prepared my message before I saw yours. This proves that I was not wrong regarding you. TEBRIKLER!!! So I have a new advice to all other members. Sometimes you must try to understand the other people.

I didn't say "highjacked". And why is arrogant when I made a correct observation?

But that flag represents fascism. Would you go to Israel waving a Nazi flag? If they want those flags they can wave them to themselves.

So I am not a GC and I am a traitor???! If this is what you mean then you can do nothing to change my views. This is how DICTATORS behave and these dictators are very dengerous for peace of the whole world . I do not say that I represent the majority of GCs and YOU Piratis YOU do not represent the MAJORITY of the GCS with your ONE SIDED Arguments that you provide here which are the same for every topic! If you hear arguments of those who voted No they may be completely different to yours .
