The hypocrisy of Turkey

Postby Piratis » Mon Jun 07, 2010 12:07 pm

This post is about the hypocrisy of Turkey who is now trying to use the suffering of the Palestinian people as a way to increase her influence over the Muslim world in the Middle East and promote her own geo-strategic interests.

We support the struggle of the Palestinian people for freedom and we understand that they will gladly accept the help of anybody. Palestinians do not have the luxury to be picky. Help to the Palestinian people have been provided from Cyprus and many other countries at a time when Turkey and Israel were best buddies and were signing military agreements.

Recently Turkey decided to play the leader of the Muslims in Middle East, and the best way to achieve this was to verbally attack Israel and to pay lip service to the struggle of the Palestinians.

It is about time that the hypocrisy of the Turks is exposed because while Israel is doing many bad things, Turkey has been and continues to be WAY WORST and she is no position to give lessons to others.

The Turks committed genocides against millions and up to this day the Turkish state refuses to even recognize this fact.

Turkey has killed 10s of thousands of Kurds, burning down many Kurdish villages and continues to oppress the Kurds in a way that is far worst than the way that Isreal is treating Palestinians. And of course for Turkey PKK is a terrorist organization in the same way that Hamas is a terrorist organization for Israel.

And then of course there is Cyprus, where the Turks have killed thousands and ethnically cleansed 100s of thousands (the majority of the population) replacing Cypriots with 10s of thousands of Anatolian settlers in their effort to Turkify the north part of our island. Unlike the Palestinians we choose to conduct a peaceful struggle against the occupiers of our lands. If we had chosen to fight as the Palestinians do, then there is no doubt that many more Cypriots would have been murdered by the Turks. The events of 1996 prove this fact, when the Turks brutally murdered 2 demonstrators who tried to cross the buffer zone and return to their own homes.

Turkey is one of the countries with the worst records in human rights, disobeying UN resolutions and violating the sovereignty of our country and the human rights of our (and not only) people. And then this Fascist state thinks that they can give lessons to others? What a joke!

Greeks and Israelis are the dirtiest rotten scoundrels on the planet, whereas Turkey is just a dumb street brawler looking for respect.

Knowing the psyche of each of these peoples helps heaps in understanding their intentions and involvement in regional affairs.

Nevertheless, GR!, scoundrels we as Greeks might be; but the Greeks and Israelis have been living in these regions, harmoniously on the whole, for millennia. The recently arrived 'cat amongst the pigeons' trying to usurp everyone, is Turkey.

How easily you forget how Greeks kept munching away at Cyprus from the moment the Brits took over the island replacing the Ottomans in 1878.

The pinnacle of Greek debauchery against Cyprus being the overthrowing of the democratically elected Cypriot government, and the murder and imprisonment of Cypriots who rushed to defend their country!

Say no more woman…

Yes, but this all happened from within the Greek world. Our own doing! Civil wars and state battles have been our thing since before we kept historical records. We didn't mess with any outsiders for lands that have not been ours for thousands, of thousands, of years.
