I'm hoping it's good murph as I'll be in Cyprus at Christmas. To be honest, it's very changeable during the winter. It could be lovely and high-teens, low-20s... or it could be hammering down with rain as it tends to when I go during the winter (everytime so far!). Let's hope for both our sakes that the trend doesn't continue this year.

You can find the average temps/rain days for Pafos at the weblink below. I'd recommend that you need a heated pool at that time of year, it'd be a bit chilly otherwise.

Have a good holiday.

It is mixed weather season – we’ve been sunburnt on Christmas day while sitting around the pool and huddled inside by a log fire while the rain hammers down.

The pool will definitely be freezing if it is not heated and many complexes will cover and ‘winterise’ their pools so they don’t need cleaning.

The weather in December-March is unpredictable. Most days are sunny but there are several rainy days also!

Yes, the weather is pretty unpredictable, during this time it is usually rainy but it is around 50 F at the least

Weather @ Christmas

Postby Liakada » Tue Dec 20, 2005 6:21 pm

Hi

Just to confirm you will not be going to Cyprus to "bask" in sunshine.

You may be lucky and experince 20 C and dry weather.

The unheated pools will be freezing - too cold for kids under 5.

Too cold for kids over 30.

The mountains may be covered in snow by now.

Whatever the weather - no doubt it will be a dam site warmer than back in the UK.

There are many attractions in the Paphos area, please visit our website for additional information.

Have a lovely holiday and a great Xmas.

looks like I had better take plenty of dvds with me for the kids. Appears we will be stuck in watching the rain. Glad I booked this one.

murphyjl, if you are here for 2 weeks many or maybe most days will be sunny. But don't forget is winter. If you wanted summer in January then you should have gone to the south hemisphere like Australia or something.
