cost of things in paphos

hi looking go paphos next year can anyone tell what is average price or meal and pint in resturants and food in supermarkets.just come back from tenerife and average pint was 1euro50 and can of coke 1euro 50 in pubs and 0.30cents for own brand beer(330ml can) and 0.60cents for 2litre of own brand pop in supermarkets and half rost chicken bout 5euros 50 in resturants are the prices smillar or bit more expensive.any info be much appreciated

It depends on where you go. Tourist places will be more expensive than that. Good restaurants will also be more expensive than that. But you can find that kind of prices elsewhere. I don't know in Paphos but I've seen the offers of Lidl in Limassol and they have beer for 29c.

Lidl is for British cheapskates. I hope you don't shop there. :x

we were looking at renting apartment in Kato Paphos area.then prob go out in old town paphos and main town?

Just don't eat at the tourist area. In other areas you can get what you pay for.

MH... welcome to CF... those Tenerife prices are very good, have holidayed in CY many times, and regret to say you won't find those prices in CY, not even ball-park.

That's not to say that CY isn't good value, cert compared with here in GB, but you'll have to do some work, do look at prices (by law they have to be displayed)... oh and look very carefully at the prices in the cafes in the harbour area in Paphos as we have heard of some pretty high prices there over the years.

Found the Burger King in Ayia Napa to be very good value to stretch the holiday budget... presumably they have one in Paphos.
