Industrial Sewing Machines and the diaspora

Postby SKI-preo » Thu Jun 16, 2011 1:38 pm

Did every kid in the Diaspora have a gigantic industrial sewing machine (which mum ran 23 1/2 hours a day) in his bedroom -or is it just me and my friends? Mum also had an overlocker in there too.

Thanks to sleeping in what was essentially a 24 hour factory I am one of the only people I know who can sleep through tropical thunderstorms.

In common with much of the Diaspora, cert here in London, often think many of us lead the nice life-styles in nice houses in the suburbs that we do, gotten stitch by stitch, through the needles of those machines in the corner of the lounge or in the kitchen.

Brother machines of course.
