Help! Newbee to Cyprus :)

Postby SineNomine » Sat Jul 02, 2011 10:35 pm

Hi Everyone! Sorry if this is a dull question, but I am travelling to Cyprus for the first time in September to attend a wedding in Coral Bay. Should I book a taxi in advance from Paphos or is it easy to travel there? I will be on my own so don't want to be stranded!! If a taxi is the best solution, can anyone recommend a good company?

Hi SN,

Have a look at this bus route map . Looks like bus route 612 from Paphos Airport will take you to Coral Bay.

... and here is the timetable for route 612... http://www.pafosbuses.com/files/website ... NGLISH.pdf

If the bus will not stop very near your hotel then a taxi will be a better solution. You are on holidays so spending a bit more to get more convenience is not a bad thing. Just come out of the airport, get a taxi (many taxis wait outside) and go directly to your hotel. You might pay a bit more but this is the most convenient way! ;)

Well it's a matter of consumer choice,

For some, say a family with loads of luggage may choose a taxi but a single person, like our new member, may prefer a bus and a long walk the other end.

... and looking at the service times on the bus timetable, it is a limited daytime service. No choice if you arrive late at night.

Don't forget the rule with taxis... agree the fare or get the meter used.
