Weren't we were told by VP and Erdogan that devalued TL will increase export? Oops!

Turkey’s exports decrease by 13 pct upon forex changes

Turkey’s exports decreased to $10.4 billion in February, a 13 percent drop from the same month of the previous year, mainly due to the loss in the Turkish Lira’s value, the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TİM) announced on March 1.

The country’s exports also declined by 6.7 percent to $22.8 billion in the first two months of this year from the same period of 2014, TİM said by a written statement.

...and the bad news on Turkey's export continues 3 months in a row of negative territory!

Well, I'm actually not shocked at all. I have never bought into Turkey's so called "Great Economy".

Exports shrink by 13 percent

Turkish exports, meanwhile, fell by 13.4 percent in March compared with a year ago.

According to figures released by the Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TİM), the volume of exports decreased by 13.4 percent and amounted to $11.23 billion in March.

Export volume in the January-March period also fell by 6.8 percent compared with 2014 and totaled $35.82 billion. The corresponding figure for the last 12 months, however, remained unchanged at $153.3 billion.

terggys strenght is that she can take care of her needs internally herself, so exports are not that important. talk about what really matters. greece is diyanisi and cyprus hoghlasdo. thats what really matters.

That's nonsense I'm afraid to say, Turkey needs exports to pay for the raw materials it import in particular oil.

PS, I've done my bit to "help" the Turkish economy, I was going to buy a Hyundai until I was told it was made in Turkey
