We won't have any excuses if we lose from Iceland then. 300K vs. 800K

The day Iceland defeats us is the day I take my hat off... to them.

Relatively even playing field with relatively equal economic clout.

But don't expect the same for nations vastly superior to us in numbers and monetary advantage.
There's simply no excuse, no matter how hard you try and justify it.

The population of CY is equivalent to a suburb of Lisbon.
So don't try and feed me any of that superior bullsh** because it simply doesn't fly with me.

I will acknowledge defeat. Head held high. No nation is our superior and never will be.
Portugal was better on the night. Congratulations to them. Acknowledge yes, respect forget it.

800k vs 10million population?. With a scoreline like that, loaded with 'international superstars'? NO RESPECT
Gone are the days of 10-0 and 12-0 scorelines my friend.

We were playing for points not respect...And we played very poorly indeed, but still got the job done. In the other hand, i have nothing but respect for the cypriot squad, who fought very bravely with only 10 men most of the game against a team that is top 10 in the Uefa rankings. Even though their fans were more concerned in trying to insult Ronaldo then supporting them... But the guy's got thick skin and ends up shutting everybody up with his skills.

Regarding Ronaldo the reason the fans treated him in that way is that he acted in a very snobbish way while in Cyprus... but I guess he is always like that.

If every football fan was to shout abuse at every snobbish football star, then no one would pay attention at the matches, as that would be all they would be doing. He is not the only arrogant millionaire football player out there. He is probably the one with more women lusting after him and thats where the problem is. But as i said, he's been getting abuse in most stadiums for years and it doesn't seem to affect him. I'll like to see messi playing outside he's barcelona "bubble" and getting half the abuse Christiano gets, and see how well he would perform...
