Cyprus v Portugal

Postby cowanjohnr » Sat Aug 20, 2011 2:58 pm

My family and I are coming to Paphos for the first week of Spetember and I noticed that Cyprus are playing Portugal on 2nd September.

Could anyone please provide me with info on if the game will be all ticket and, if so, where to buy them in Paphos. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

No need to buy the ticket in advance. The games of the national team never fill the stadium... although I guess the game with Protugal will get several thousands ... still you should just go to the stadium and buy the ticket from there.

Well, I hope we won... But we shouldn't take you guys lightly. Cypriot football is on the up. However my "patriçios" are in good form. My guess is 0-2.

I doubt we can even get a draw. Our team is not in a good form and after the last result with Portugal I don't thing the Portuguese will underestimate Cyprus.

The Cypriot football 'bitchslaps' come when least expected and at irregular intervals.
Maybe not on fri against Portugal but sometime in the near future a top gun team is going to need milk, cookies and TLC after a Cypriot pitbull mauling.

In the mean time... we'll be content with the 'whipping boys' status.
