Limassol Wine Festival

Postby Olga » Tue Aug 30, 2005 10:16 am

Hi everybody!
Are you planning to go to the Wine Festival in Limassol?
I have never been at the Festival so I don't know what it is.
Is it worth to go there?
Or the most interesting thing there is the tasting of wine?

What do you mean? Wine making in Cyprus is an ancient tradition and our modern day wineries are quite good with lots of exports.

Hi Olga, I went there only once, about 8 or 9 years ago, but I think it was nice. Of course lots of wine, cheap one for everyone but also very very good ones for tasting. As Sotos said, the island has some really good wineries.
Apart from the wine there is lots of food, entertainment and fun.

Hi Olga :) From what I`ve heard from friend`s and family it is a good day out.....Well, from what most of them can remember because the wine is seemingly so cheap!!! I see from your previous post`s that you are expecting so I don`t suppose you will be doing much wine tasting, but you should go along, Im sure you will have a great day!!!!

Wine festival is not just for drinking wine. It is an interesting thing to do even if you hate wine. Especially if you have never been there before

Hi everybody!
Thanks for your replies!
I have not gone to the Festival yet because there was nobody to come with. :( Nobody wanted! I will try to convince them since the event is not over yet.
As Angel Eyes noticed 100% correctly I will not be doing a lot of wine tasting but I think a day out with fun and entertainment will serve only for the best. :)
Anyway, has anybody gone to the Festival of this year?
