There isn't a Newbie forum here so i thought this was the best place to say hello. Been to Cyprus with the wiff many times over the last 8 years. First time we spent a week in Larnaca as a late booking. Stayed in the Passiana Appartments opposite McKenzie Beach, (probably not spelling everything right lol).

Second time, we stayed in The Roman in Pafos for 2 weeks when we got married in the Aiya Kyriaki Church.

Next we stayed for 2 weeks at The Hylatio in Pissouri when we revisited our wedding steps so to speak. Pity the view from the front of the Roman has been ruined by development right opposite the street where we once could view the sea from the balcony of our room above the front door. (Karen the owner must have been more pi55ed off than we were though).

Lastly, i came over for a week with my parents just for a week on a last holiday for them as they're getting old now. I wanted to show them a decent holiday as their previous one on their own in Coral bay was wasted as they didn't really know what to do or where to go.

Now my wiff and i are planning on coming again but unfortunately we're going to the north to Kyrenia. I just can't help thinking that we're helping the "illegal occupation" cause by doing so though. One thing that gets my goat though is that the Turks being a third world country with a worthless currency along with everything else, charge extortionate prices just because foreigners, in our case the ENGLISH, expect to have to pay. I bet if a local were to go and book into a hotel for a week it would cost about a tenth of what it's going to cost us.

Anyway rant over, thought i'd say hello, particularly to anyone who owns a Mitsubishi FTO. I know there's loads in Cyprus.

amazing how u came across as a person who actually like Cyprus and keen on coming over and over yet in your last few lines all what you said is although i know i am going to an illegal side of the island i am still pissed of the prices arent right????? take your self to a corner and asyou self this ARE YOU OR REAL?

Coming to a proper decent Cypriot forum to complain and moan about how prices are high for you the prey (The English) on the North Of Cyprus , no one gave you a slap on the wrest to go there, you going there %100 knowing by going there you are supporting acts of criminals and giving your approval as long as the price is right..
