Courier Service - Lefke

Postby Moe » Mon Oct 24, 2011 9:37 pm

Hi

Are there any reputable courier companies (office, drop off point etc) based in Lefke?
I need to send a parcel to Athens (next day delivery).
Please forward contact details etc.
Any further info will be appreciated.
Thanks

That's the easy way, but maybe Mr. Szyslak wants to do the Mersin 10, TR way.

Thanks guys. Will definitely look into that. Does the post office do overnight deliverey? What's the distance between Lefke and Lefkosia? Are there buses going that route?

Btw...I don't know who or what Szyslak is! Sounds like an Eastern European Dish Washing Liquid.

Try dropping off the parcel at a courier service in the Free Areas of Nicosia who offer express delivery...

Here is one ... http://www.acscyprus.com

Perfect...Thank's Bill. Exactly, how many border crossings are there? Any border corssing between Lefke and Nicosia? What forms of identification can be used aside from a passport?

There are no border crossings. You will however in your journey south from Occupied Lefka encounter crossing points in the ceasefire line.

For road traffic the one to use in Nicosia is the Agios Dometios one (often referred to in the Occupied Areas as "Metehan", which is in the western part of central Free Nicosia. As for ID suggest using a passport as ID, one issued by a member state of the EU... or you may wish to think about arranging for a cab to take the parcel from Occupied Lefka to the courier office.
