Green line and CTA

Once again thanks for all the advice given on this forum.

I am now back from Cyprus after a very enjoyable week. The scenery in N Cyprus is stunning and the people very pleasant.

I flew Cyprus Turkish Airlines to Ercan from Heathrow. Going there was fine and I could not understand the adverse publicity about this airline. Crew were very pleasant and everything happened on time. Coming back the previous day's flight was cancelled due to a faulty plane and this together with our flight was combined onto a very old looking charter aircraft wet leased from Sky Air (?).

One thing I can confirm is that a TRNC stamp on your passport will NOT prevent entry to the souther part of Cyprus (Republic of Cyprus). I confirmed this with the Cyprus High Commission before leaving. We crossed the green line twice. The first time the (Greek) Cypriot immigration saw the stamp and welcomed us in. The second time they did not even bother checking our passport.
