The cruise will give you only some hours in Egypt, many of which will be spent in the bus from Port Said to Cairo. You will visit specific sights - Pyramids, Museum, Papyrous shop etc and thats it. If you want something more then going by plane is your only option.

Does anyone know the bus journey time to Limassol if we opt for the cruise

90 minutes max.

Also the time to Pafos airport if we go for the plane trip

if one books the transfer to the port with the cruise then it will be longer, as usually the coach will stop at various hotels to pick up other clients

We will go for the ship option this time, the down side being longer travel time, shorter viewing time but outweighed by less stress, chance to try 'cruising' and those out riders riding shotgun as we wizz to Cairo
We travel this Sunday, hope to let you know how we two Cyprus 'virgins' got on.

Choose a good cruise ship. Some of them are old ones! Nothing like "Love boat"
